S’mores is hands down one of the best flavors of summer and fall! I’m always looking for ways to incorporate s’mores flavors into different things, and what better way than to pair s’mores with coffee? This is how we came up with our iced s’mores latte - a chocolatey, marshmallowy dream of a coffee drink that instantly brings the quintessential fireside experience to your coffee cup!
Iced S’mores Latte
Ingredients:
¼ Cup Espresso (1 Tsp. Instant Espresso Powder + ¼ Cup Hot Water or 1 Shot of Espresso)
1 Cup Milk of Choice
1 Tbsp. Toasted Marshmallow Syrup
2 Tbsp. Dark Chocolate Sauce/Syrup
Crushed Graham Crackers (for topping)
3 Tbsp. Heavy Cream + 1 Tbsp. Toasted Marshmallow Syrup (for cold foam)
Ice
Instructions:
For this iced s’mores latte recipe, you’ll want to start out by making your espresso. If you have instant espresso powder, mix 1 tsp. of espresso powder with ¼ cup of hot water in a glass measuring cup or mug and stir until the espresso powder dissolves. If you have an espresso maker, brew 1 shot of espresso.
Add 2 tbsp. of dark chocolate sauce/syrup to your hot espresso and stir. You could also use a milk frother to blend. Set aside the mixture to cool.
In a glass measuring cup, mix together 1 cup of your milk of choice with 1 tbsp. of toasted marshmallow syrup.
Add ice to a glass, add the chocolate espresso mixture, and then top with the milk mixture.
In another glass measuring cup or mug, add 3 tbsp. of heavy cream with 1 tbsp. of toasted marshmallow syrup. Using a milk frother, whip this mixture until it is light and fluffy.
Next, slowly add the toasted marshmallow cold foam on top of the iced s’mores latte.
Add crushed graham crackers over top of the cold foam and enjoy!
This recipe makes one iced s’mores latte, but you could always double or triple it to make enough for a few people. If you’re a fan of this latte, be sure to check out our other coffee recipes from our Farmhouse Barista Series!
