Growing up, taco night was always one of our favorite dinners (and to be honest, it still is one of my personal favorites.) We would always make sure to stock up on the essentials — soft shell tortillas, hardshell taco shells, salsa, taco sauce, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and, of course, taco seasoning. All of the essentials! It was not until a few years ago that my mom and I realized just how easy it is to make our own taco seasoning. If you have a well-stocked spice pantry, you probably already have everything that you need to make your own at home! Instructions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together until thoroughly combined.

  2. Store the mixture in an air-tight container or a mason jar.

Servings

This recipe makes the equivalent of about 2 packets of store-bought taco seasoning (each packet typically contains 2 Tbsp. of seasoning.) If you have a recipe that requires more taco seasoning, this recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to make more. We usually make a few batches at a time so that we always have some in our spice cabinet for the next time that we need it! We actually have the recipe taped to the side of our taco seasoning container so that we always have it for easy reference.
